SCHOOL PROGRAMS

ABREN recognizes that access to books and information at the library is only one component of offering a quality education to all children. Therefore, since its inception ABREN has strived to collaborate closely with the public school system. Over many years of hard work, ABREN has earned the respect and support not only of the local community, but of teachers, administrators and the Ministry of Education as well.

ABREN’s school programs support students’ formal education in 4 different ways:

1) ABREN offers a high-quality community pre-school
2) School groups from all over Pueblo Nuevo municipality and neighboring municipalities visit the library and participate in our programs.
3) Librarians offer teacher in-service workshops
4) ABREN provides school scholarships for dedicated students
